MyEdBC Training and Support Session - December 2024 Summary
Introduction (0min - 4min)

Question 1 (4min - 14min): First-time PR card entry in MyEdBC.

How to attach teachers to students: This is done through scheduling.
- Schedule Courses: Ensure all courses exist in MyEdBC (Schedule > Courses). Add missing courses using "Options > Add". Copy courses from previous years if available (Options > Copy Course Catalogs).
- Create Sections: Create a section for each course offering (Master Schedule > Options > Add). Assign a teacher and term code (e.g., Full Year, Semester 1).
- Add Students to Sections: Add students to the roster for each section (Roster > Options > Add). Sorting by homeroom is recommended.

Teacher instructions for comments and marks: Teachers only need to enter final marks for the PR card, not comments (except for K-3). Marks should be entered in the Final column in the Gradebook.

Report Card Integration: If using MyEdBC report cards, the PR card is automatically populated. No manual entry is required. The final mark on the report card will transfer to the PR card.

- Teachers access the Gradebook through the top tab, then select the "Scores" side table. Choose the specific class to enter grades.
